Separation Anxiety

Kamusta Mo!

Primero Ako nahiguma kaninyo!

Karon Semana Nindot Jud! As In Nindot gahapon!

Some days I forget how to Talk in English. I can't really talk to the pulti's on the Dyipneys it hard to switch from Bisayan to English so I talk to the white people in broken English... On the dyipney the other day there were three white girls I told them bisayan then tried to translate to English "free the tour" I said talking about the temple tours we have every Thursday. We are basically visitor center missionaries too because we give tours of the temple and explain it and explain baptism and prophets and the church. Its fun but at the same time hard because none of us had training for it so we never know exactly what to say.

Helping Investigator Find Work

Hello Family!

First of all I love you!

This week has been full of Drama. Lol not really but kind of. We teach about 9 kids in Tintay and when we went to teach them yesterday they all had a childrens' quarrel and two ended up crying. We taught them Satan is happy when we fight "Ayaw Away" (Don't Fight!) We patched things over and they all listened to the lesson.

Life in the Trenches: Taking Cold Showers

It's hot today really super hot! I'm in this little shack of a Internet cafe writing emails today. It's really loud all the school boys are playing World of Warcraft and shouting at each other. It's always loud everywhere. This mission is not one that you can teach without expecting distractions. I am now officially jealous of the American-going missionaries but this is way more of an adventure!

We spend most of our P-Days in town. We go play basketball in the mornings and then take a shower in the patron housing because it has hot showers! It's nice having a real shower once a week. Some mornings it's hard making myself take a cold bucket shower but there is no way I am going to skip taking a shower. We get super dirty and gross during the day especially in the city with all the smoke and car pollution. Good times.

Joining the Church for the Right Reason

Hey!!

The days are passing by so quickly and my brain hurts. Haha! The language is my major obstacle but it's been good besides that. Today we hiked up to the Tops to the huge cross it was kind of creepy but kind of cool at the same time. It was a district activity!

Yesterday we had a CSP where we cleaned up this basketball court for this neighborhood in Sister Robison's area. Speaking of Sister Robison she has a blog. It's caricebu.blogspot.com. Anyways this place had so much trash. We burned it in a big pile of grass and weeds and trash. There is trash everywhere here. I don't think they have littering laws or anything.

First Philippines Missionary Area: Experiencing the Custom of Alom Pulos

So I'm finally in the Philippines. It's pretty interesting. It's made me realize how much I have in the States. I miss the luxuries of life :) Today we went to the temple I love going because its a place to relax your mind for a couple of hours.

This morning we woke up at 4:30am to go play basketball with the district before it got too hot. But I am way tired now. I don't want to get up that early again, but my companions like to go. It's way good exercise. It's way hot here and I'm constantly sweating. It's some good times. If you couldn't tell by the pictures, I gained a ton in the MTC but its all good. I predict that I will sweat those off. haha...
