National Truth Restored Missionary Ad Campaign to be Seen during April 2008 General Conference

On Friday, April 8, 2008 Carrie A Moore of the Deseret News reported on the newest ad campaign that has been taking place the last few months and will air nationally for the first time during the General Conference this weekend on Saturday and Sunday April 9-10th 2008. This campaign is supposed to help in the missionary program by attracting interest by non-members who will go to http://www.mormon.org.

Carrie reports that the campaign was market tested in three markets: Las Vegas; Las Vegas West; Independence, Mo., including Kansas City and Wichita; and New York Utica, which includes Albany, Syracuse and Utica. A full-blown media campaign was conducted using different format for TV, radio, billboard and Internet advertising. One mission president attributes 76 baptisms to the ads which have also appeared in major publications like Time, Newsweek and US News and World Report. Supposedly 500,000 pass-along cards have been distributed because of the new media campaign which was developed by the BYU advertising department and the LDS Church media department.

We hope this is as productive as past campaigns have been for the Church. The Church comes up with some great ads that have won several Cleos.
