Elder Spendlove: LDS Online Missionary

I'm Elder Spendlove, a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the Mormons).  Right now, I'm working in Ukiah, California, teaching people about the happiness that comes from following Jesus Christ and His prophets.  I also have the opportunity to spend a little time online every day reaching out to people online through facebook and blogs.  It's a cool program because there are so many people online each day who are looking for happiness;  I have been able to talk with many people in the places where I've served (Vallejo, Fairfield, Santa Rosa, and Ukiah) about the Church, as well as friends back home, people in Mexico and other countries, and all over the Good Ol' U S of A.  I love talking to people about the Church, especially about how the teachings of Jesus Christ are relevant to us today and how following His commandments will always lead to safety.  I certainly would love to answer any questions you or your friends may have about the Mormon Church and help you come to find the beautiful light I know for myself.

Vick Family Baptism (10/23/10)

I am thankful for the gifts God has given me to share His light.  I love to write--creatively (short stories, creative essays, etc.); technically (essays, research papers, etc.); and personal insights (poetry, spiritual devotionals, etc.).  I love to sing (I haven't cut any records yet, so don't look for me on iTunes): it is such a marvelous blessing to be able to worship my God through music.  I am thankful for the voice He has given me, and I pray that it will be heard to the uplifting of others.

Missionary life is tough, no question about it.  But nothing easy is ever worth it.  I know that God is pleased when I share His truths with people, whether online or on the street; He blesses me each day with health, happiness, and heartfelt determination to find those who are ready to hear the truth and follow the light.  Life has been so good to me.  I have a great family back in Texas who supports me and shares their love.  I am truly a blessed man.  And I owe it all to the love of my Father in Heaven.
