Life As a Missionary Online

Life as a missionary is AMAZING!! I love being a missionary, you get to meet new people, teach about Jesus Christ and learn to live a better life. The experience I gain as a missionary is going to help me for the rest of my life, as well as change the lives of people I meet. My name is Elder Robert Hughes and I'm serving in the Montana Billings Mission. Not only am I serving a mission in Montana, I also have the great privilage of being a missionary online! Did I just say that right? Missionaries get to be online? They sure do, there are a select few that are now being allowed to proselyte online to teach about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. What a wonderful experience this is going to be!!

Why I'm a Missionary: Sister Kenemore LDS Online Missionary

My Journey to being an online missionary started way back on May 4th 2009 when I went with my best friend Dianna to have breakfast at IHOP at about 11 o'clock at night.  I asked her all about her mission that night, I don't know why but I was very curious about her life as a missionary, so my questions began and didn't end till about 1:30 in the morning.  I had felt the spirit prompt me to prepare for a mission, when I got home I woke up my mom to tell her what the spirit had told me.  She perked right up and we talked for about another hour in my room about what all this meant.  I had later talked to my bishop and had gotten discouraged, he didn't seem as excited as I was at the time.  So I put it on the back burner.  I found out 3 weeks later that my dad had take a job offer in Salt Lake City, Utah and was planning to move up there with the rest of the family.

LDS Online Missionaries: California Santa Rosa Mission

The California Santa Rosa Mission has slowly but surely been joining the official Mormon Blogging network. They joined a couple of weeks ago with the other missions but only the mission president Jon Bunker posting a Facebook page.  President Bunker is from my hometown of Las Vegas and I ran across across him as a teenager at LDS Church dances which were attended by hundreds of kids from across the Las Vegas Valley.  He was a fine young man then and a fine man now.
